Privacy policy

Homestretch is a coaching workspace for track and field programs. This policy explains what information Homestretch keeps, why, and who can see it. Athletes don't use Homestretch; coaches do, and the information about athletes is entered by their coaches.
Information about coaches
Coaches sign in with Google. From your Google account we keep your name, your verified email address and Google's identifier for your account. We don't receive your Google password, and we don't access your Gmail, Drive, contacts or calendar. We also keep which program and teams you belong to, your role, and the invitations you send or receive.
Information coaches enter about their teams
- Athletes: first and last name, graduation year, grade, gender (as used for competition categories) and, if a coach adds it, an Athletic.net athlete ID.
- Results and training: meet results and marks, personal and season bests, benchmarks, training groups, and coach notes.
- Plans: seasons, training phases and weeks, meets and practices.
When a coach imports a roster or results file (a spreadsheet, PDF or photo), Homestretch reads it to pull out the rows the coach reviews. We don't keep the file itself; we keep its file name and a count of what was imported.
How we use it
Only to run Homestretch for your program: showing your plans, rosters and results to your coaching staff, and keeping the service secure and working. We don't sell information, show ads, share it with advertisers or data brokers, or use it to train AI models.
Who can see it
- Coaches in your program. Homestretch is invite-only: a head coach invites each coach by email, and only members of a program can see its teams.
- The companies that run Homestretch's infrastructure, only as needed to provide it: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting) and Google (sign-in). Information is stored in the United States.
- Anyone the law requires us to disclose information to, such as in response to a valid court order.
Student athletes
Athlete records belong to the school or club whose coaches entered them, and we handle them on that program's behalf. Athletes and parents who want to see, correct or remove an athlete's information should ask their coach, or contact us and we'll work with the program. Homestretch isn't meant for use by children and doesn't collect information directly from athletes.
Cookies
Homestretch uses only the cookies it needs: ones that keep you signed in, and one that remembers which team you were viewing. There are no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Every request is checked against the signed-in coach's program, so one program can't see another's data.
Keeping and deleting information
We keep a program's information while it uses Homestretch. A head coach can ask us to delete the program and everything in it; we'll do so within 30 days, and backups that contain it expire within a further 30 days. Coaches can ask us to delete their own account the same way.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. For significant changes, we'll tell head coaches before they take effect.
